Music not only helps a
person¡¯s development but
it stimulates a person¡¯s
intellectual progression.
Many Korean students are
opting out of art or music
because they want to spend
more time preparing for
college entrance exams.
Students these days spend
more time studying English
than studying Korean.  The
professor believes that
students should first study
Korean, then English.  Just
like America, students were
able to choose a foreign
language to study, however
nowadays students, for the
most part students only study
English.  It is not that
Koreans have better facilities
for education, it is that
parents want their kids to
be higher educated.
